But first, Happy New Year!

(Please note: This post won’t really apply if you are lucky enough to live in a warmer climate. For the rest of us, it seems winter has set in for a couple of months and we find ourselves aching to be outside in the warm sun- without snow. For those in warmer areas- go get your kid a balance bike and get outside and ride with him/her! Whatever you do, don’t set your child behind in learning how to ride by buying a bike with training wheels. Little kids build confidence while building their balance and other bike skills while riding balance bikes.)

The holidays are behind us and here at Legaci Bikes, we are already looking forward to SPRING! While this may seem a little premature, especially considering the fact that here in Rochester, NY, the high temperature for the day is struggling to get to twenty degrees- and it will be dropping back to single digits by week’s end. BUT we are getting a little more daylight every day and that feels SO good. Sunny skies and a renewed attitude make us feel so inspired to get outside! While many die hard cyclists are still finding time to ride outside, some of us find ourselves in the basement on Zwift- and some days maybe outside for a walk or some skiing.

No matter what it is we find ourselves enjoying today, it is an undeniable fact that warm weather is on the way! It may take a few weeks- or months- but before we know it, it will be time to get back outside on our bikes! When that day comes, when that first warm day arrives and the bug bites- you know how it feels- you need to ride the bike. Now, imagine being a little kid again. Imagine THAT level of excitement for just a moment. You do remember, don’t you?

Spring is coming… you know you will be ready to get out- but what about the kids?? Maybe the child(ren) in your life got a new balance bike for Christmas- or maybe not. If not, today is a great day to make that purchase and everyone will be ready for that first day out on the bike. And hey… you might even allow a little balance bike riding in some area of your home- or maybe in the basement. Whatever you do, don’t delay… Life has a way of happening -and before you know it, it’s going to be time to get outside and ride! (Unless you are like Todd- and you can instead look forward to less prep for the ride without snow and ice!)
